Craft, activity and play ideas

Hi everyone! I am researching the history of gambling around the world and would appreciate your help finding interesting cultural and historical information. Different societies have developed their own games of chance, traditions, regulations, and attitudes toward gambling over many centuries. I want to explore how these practices changed over time and how technology introduced new forms of participation. Which historical periods, countries, or cultural traditions would be particularly interesting to include? I would also appreciate recommendations for trustworthy museums, academic publications, and historical resources. Please share your ideas so I can produce a well-researched article that presents the subject in a balanced way and explains why cultural context matters when studying historical entertainment practices.
